Ingersoll Rand Inc. (NYSE:IR) is buying Tuthill Corp.’s vacuum and blower Systems division for $184 million. The acquisition is part of Ingersoll Rand’s strategy to expand its customer base in the manufacturing and industrial sectors.

The target makes blowers, mechanical vacuum pumps, vacuum boosters and engineered systems, and will become part of Ingersoll Rand industrial technologies and services segment.
