CMA CGM Group has agreed to acquire FedEx Supply Chain, the third-party logistics subsidiary of FedEx Corp., for $1.4 billion in a transaction expected to close in 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals.

The acquisition will nearly triple the North American contract logistics operations of Ceva Logistics, CMA CGM’s logistics subsidiary, expanding the combined business to approximately 20,000 employees across more than 240 locations and about 150 warehouses, Reuters reported. The deal supports CMA CGM’s strategy to strengthen its logistics capabilities in North America, while enabling FedEx (NYSE: FDX) to further streamline its portfolio following the recent spin-off of FedEx Freight. FedEx Supply Chain provides third-party logistics services, including warehousing, distribution and fulfillment, to customers across multiple industries.

Morgan Stanley and Messier & Associés are serving as financial advisers to CMA CGM, with Cleary Gottlieb acting as legal counsel. JPMorgan is advising FedEx financially, while Baker McKenzie is serving as its legal counsel.
