Adobe has agreed to acquire Topaz Labs, expanding its portfolio of AI-powered creative tools with advanced video and image enhancement technology.
The acquisition will integrate Topaz Labs’ AI models into Adobe Firefly, Firefly Services and Creative Cloud applications, enhancing workflows that combine traditionally captured and AI-generated content. Following closing, Topaz Labs’ products will remain available as standalone offerings, and CEO Eric Yang will continue leading the business. Topaz Labs develops AI software for video and image enhancement, including tools for upscaling, sharpening, stabilization, frame interpolation, noise reduction and footage restoration.
Freshfields US LLP is serving as legal advisor to Adobe. AXOM Partners is acting as financial advisor to Topaz Labs, while Goodwin Procter LLP is serving as legal advisor to Topaz Labs.
