Toronto-based Realize Capital Partners has closed Realize Fund I at $276.7 million, including $141.7 million of private capital matched against a $135 million anchor investment provided by the Government of Canada through the Social Finance Fund in 2023.
The fund has completed approximately 40 percent of its planned investments and is targeting both measurable impact outcomes and competitive risk-adjusted returns.
Fund I invests through a fund-of-funds model, often serving as an anchor investor to help emerging impact managers attract additional capital. The strategy is designed to address inequities through diversified investments across sectors including housing, financial inclusion, climate technology and healthcare.
