Fortifi Food Processing Solutions, a provider of food processing automation technologies, has bought Deighton Manufacturing U.K., a U.K.-based manufacturer of forming, portioning, coating and frying equipment.
The transaction supports Fortifi’s strategy of offering comprehensive food processing automation services across a wider range of production environments, particularly by expanding its capabilities in modular, flexible and lower-throughput applications. Deighton Manufacturing U.K. supplies continuous and batch processing equipment serving the protein, fish, dairy and bakery sectors. Its systems are used to produce products including nuggets, burgers, appetizers, vegetables, cookies and international foods. The company has a strong customer base across the U.K. and Europe, with additional exposure to growth markets in Latin America, India and southeast Asia.
