Align Capital Partners’ portfolio company Schneider Geospatial acquired New England GeoSystems, a Connecticut-based geospatial software and services provider to municipalities, in an add-on acquisition designed to expand its GIS capabilities and strengthen its presence in the Northeast.
As part of the transaction, NEGEO’s MapExpress will be integrated into Schneider Geospatial’s Beacon platform, which serves more than 1,000 local government jurisdictions across 35 states. The acquisition supports Schneider Geospatial’s strategy of building a GIS-centric technology platform that helps local governments manage property, infrastructure, public services and citizen access to information.
Founded in Connecticut, NEGEO has spent nearly two decades helping municipalities develop and maintain geographic information system (GIS) programs supporting planning, public works, property assessment, infrastructure management and citizen engagement. The company provides web-based GIS mapping software and related services.
