H.I.G. Capital, a global alternative investment firm with $75 billion in capital under management, is adding Carlos Couret as managing director and head of its Spanish lower middle market private equity team.
The appointment reflects H.I.G.’s continued focus on expanding its private equity platform in southern Europe and reinforcing its presence across the Iberian market. Couret brings 17 years of mid-market private equity experience, with expertise spanning deal origination, execution, and exits across a range of industries. Before joining H.I.G., he was a senior investment professional at ProA Capital and previously held roles at BNP Paribas in New York and Madrid.
