Brazos Residential, a multifamily real estate private equity firm, has appointed Wyatt Simmons as chief investment officer.

Simmons brings nearly a decade of experience across multifamily asset management, acquisitions and debt and equity capital sourcing. Over his career, he has originated and executed more than $3.5 billion of debt and equity transactions across commercial real estate, including roughly $2.5 billion in multifamily capitalizations. Before joining Brazos Residential, he held senior capital markets positions at Jones Lang LaSalle and Bank of America (NYSE: BAC), and most recently served as the firm’s vice president of acquisitions.

Simmons joined Brazos Residential in late 2022, when the firm owned approximately 2,000 apartment units. The promotion reflects the firm’s continued focus on scaling its multifamily investment platform and capital markets capabilities.
