TransPerfect, a provider of language and AI services for global businesses, has acquired Unbabel, a Lisbon-based translation AI company.
Unbabel’s proprietary language model, TowerLLM, is the first large language model specifically built for translation, offering top accuracy and adaptability. The acquisition integrates Unbabel’s advanced AI technology, including TowerLLM and the COMET translation quality benchmark, into TransPerfect’s GlobalLink platform, strengthening its leadership in AI-driven global content solutions.
