TDK Corp. is buying Fabric8Labs for up to $400 million.
Fabric8Labs a manufacturing company with a proprietary advanced metal 3D printing technology and electrochemical additive manufacturing (ECAM).
The acquisition represents a key part of TDK’s strategic investment and is actively driven by the current medium-term plan that will act as a catalyst to accelerate its data center initiatives. The deal will allow TDK to expand its current offering to deliver services with mission-critical technologies, including thermal management components in data center cooling systems. TDK is a Tokyo-based technology that mostly serves the electronics sector.
