Blackstone Credit & Insurance has launched SablePointe Credit Strategies, a platform focused on supporting origination, underwriting and portfolio management for asset-based lending investments.
Headquartered in Georgia, SablePointe will help BXCI source, structure and manage senior secured asset-based and first-out credit facilities for corporate borrowers, leveraging the combined sponsor and intermediary relationships of both organizations. The platform is designed to expand BXCI’s origination capabilities and strengthen its position as a provider of capital solutions across private credit markets. SablePointe Credit Strategies is headquartered in Alpharetta, Ga., and will initially support BXCI’s asset-based lending and first-out direct lending strategies. The platform brings specialized expertise in structuring and managing asset-based credit transactions and is expected to broaden its focus into additional specialty asset classes over time. James Garlick, who previously co-founded Wingspire, will lead the platform as president.
