Cascadia Capital has launched a restructuring & special situations practice, appointing Lorie Beers as managing director and head of the group and Carl Comstock as director to expand its capital markets advisory capabilities.
The group will advise companies, private equity sponsors, lenders, creditor groups and boards on liability management, distressed M&A, recapitalizations, rescue financings, creditor advisory assignments, strategic alternatives evaluations and other special situations. The expansion is designed to strengthen Cascadia’s ability to provide integrated strategic and capital structure advice across both performing and stressed environments.
Beers brings more than 35 years of experience in investment banking and legal advisory. Before joining Cascadia Capital, she founded and led special situations practices at Intrepid Investment Bankers and Cowen, advising companies and stakeholders facing financial, operational, and strategic challenges across multiple industries. Comstock has extensive experience advising management teams, lenders, boards, financial sponsors, and stakeholder groups in complex transactions, having worked on engagements involving more than $50 billion of liabilities and numerous distressed sale and recapitalization transactions.
