Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and Integrated Media Company (IMC) have launched Compound Creative Holdings (Compound), a $250 million holding company designed to acquire, operate, and grow a portfolio of leading Creator Economy businesses.
Now valued at more than $250 billion globally, the Creator Economy is the highest growing subsector within media and entertainment and is projected to reach over $1.25 trillion by 2035, according to the companies. Creators are evolving from an advertising-dependent model to fully investable enterprises, diversified across multiple revenue streams and are able to monetize audience equity through ownership sales, future revenue participation and structured financing.
Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as legal counsel to CAA, and CAA Evolution served as financial advisor. Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP served as legal counsel to IMC.
