Hunter Point Capital, an investment firm focused on minority stakes in middle market alternative asset managers, has made a strategic investment in Iron Park Capital, a global alternative asset manager.

HPC focuses on forming partnerships with investment managers at inflection points in their growth. The firm works to accelerate the continued development of those firms through long-term strategic partnerships.

IPC offers credit services designed to meed the needs of its institutional investor and borrower clients. The firm creates-long term strategic partnerships and pursues a selective strategy concentrated on identifying inefficiencies in markets where larger asset managers are less active. Additionally, Atlantic Park, the firm’s private credit platform with General Atlantic, provides strategic capital for financing of long term partners.

“The HPC team shares our focus on alignment with institutional investors and partners, our long-term orientation and our conviction that the highly experienced IPC team can unlock value to generate superior risk-adjusted returns,” added Tripp Smith, IPC founder and CEO.

Houlihan Lokey served as financial advisor to IPC. Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as legal counsel to IPC and Fried Frank served as legal counsel to HPC.
