KKR is planning to establish a Milan office as part of its broader European expansion strategy, reinforcing its long-term commitment to Italy after deploying more than €10 billion in the country since 2005.

The office will support investment activity across multiple asset classes, strengthen client partnerships and advance the continued growth of the firm’s private wealth business in Italy. Marco Fontana, a partner in KKR’s infrastructure team, will relocate from London to lead the Milan office, while Nicolò Della Casa, a director in KKR’s private equity team, will relocate to oversee the firm’s private equity activities in Italy.

Italy has been a significant market for KKR for more than two decades, with investments spanning infrastructure, energy transition and industrial technology.
