GI Partners has acquired a majority stake in HES Facilities Management, partnering with the company’s existing management team to support its next phase of growth.
Founded in 2020, HES has expanded under the leadership of Charlie Spencer, president and CEO, and Buddy Helton, chairman of the board. Headquartered in Knoxville, Tenn., HES Facilities Management provides janitorial, facilities management and groundskeeping services to K-12 schools, colleges and universities nationwide. The company operates in more than 30 states and focuses exclusively on the education sector.
Rothschild & Co. served as financial advisor to GI Partners, while Ropes & Gray acted as legal advisor.
