Latham & Watkins LLP has hired James Garrett to the firm’s Houston office as a partner in the corporate department and as a member of private equity and mergers and acquisitions practices. His practice focuses on advising private equity and venture capital investors and their portfolio companies, as well as entrepreneurs and public and private companies.

Garrett regularly counsels clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, growth equity and private financing transactions, joint ventures, and corporate reorganizations, as well as on general corporate matters. He works with clients across a range of industries, including energy, industrials, technology, software, digital infrastructure, renewables and healthcare, among others.
