JD Sports Fashion Plc, a British sports fashion retail company, is reportedly in talks to buy French athletic apparel chain Courir for an enterprise value of €520 million (approximately $570 million), reported Bloomberg News.

According to Bloomberg, JD Sports has started negotiations to buy Courir from Equistone Partners Europe for €325 million (about $356 million) in cash and €195 million (about $213.6 million) in assumed debt.

JD Sports has reportedly been vying with Fraser‘s Sports Direct chain to further expand in Europe. Sports Direct was aiming to buy French chain Go Sport out of receivership, but lost out to Intersport.
