BTIG, a global financial services firm, has appointed Michael Karmiol as the new head of healthcare equity capital markets. Going forward, Karmiol will handle capital markets opportunities for corporate and institutional clients in the healthcare sector.

Karmiol has been with the firm for nearly 5 years and has held healthcare-focused franchise sales and trading roles within the firm. Prior to joining BTIG, Karmiol served in similar roles with UBS, Morgan Stanley, Susquehanna and more.

“As head of healthcare equity capital markets, Michael will help construct and articulate an ever-broadening set of solutions and services to the marketplace,” said Matt Clark managing director and head of BTIG investment banking. “Working closely with our existing equity capital markets team, we are confident that he will strengthen our relationships as he supports the key objectives of our corporate and institutional investor clients.”
