Branch, a provider of mobile linking services, has bought Nova Launcher and Sesame Universal Search.

The two acquisitions enable Branch to capitalize on the opportunity to create new ways for users to discover apps.

“The mobile ecosystem is constrained with walled gardens controlling app distribution and access,” said Alex Austin, CEO of Branch. “Nova and Sesame have pushed the boundaries of what Android can deliver, and we’re excited to collaborate with their teams to develop and scale the future of app discovery.”
