Aon plc, a global professional services firm providing risk, retirement and health services, has hired M&A insurance veteran Julia Papastravridis, and four M&A attorneys, Matthew Edwards, Sandrine Emmanuel, Jerald Khoo, and John Kramp to its representations and warranties insurance practice, which is part of its M&A and transaction solutions,.

Based in New York City, Papastavridis joins as a managing director from Willis Towers Watson, where she was a senior transactional risk insurance broker.

Edwards, also based in New York City, joins us as a vice president after a five-year legal career most recently at Ropes & Gray where he was an M&A associate in its Private Equity Transactions practice and represented private equity firms and their respective portfolio companies in connection with leveraged buyouts, platform acquisitions, sell-side transactions, joint ventures, growth equity and minority investments, and related strategic transactions.

Khoo, based in New York City as well, joins Aon as a vice president from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, where he spent five years as an attorney in their M&A group and represented public and private companies, private equity firms, and financial institutions.

Based in Toronto, Sandrine Emmanuel joins Aon from Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, where she focused on corporate and securities law and worked on a variety of large transactions, including initial public offerings, shareholder buyouts, and public and private mergers and acquisitions.

Based in Chicago, Kramp joins Aon as a vice president after a seven-year law career, most recently at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, where he practiced M&A and healthcare law and advised clients on structure and corporate law issues in health care transactions, including private equity acquisitions of physician practices, hospital acquisitions and joint ventures.
