I’m delighted to announce that Allison Collins has been promoted to assistant managing editor of Mergers & Acquisitions. Collins joined our brand in 2012 as a reporter. In that role, she covered daily middle-market transactions and developed the popular Turnaround Tuesday column on distressed companies and the insightful Finance Finesse column on lending and investment banking.
This spring, Collins’ reporting on General Electric’s sale of GE Capital’s Sponsor Finance group, including Antares Capital, was outstanding and contributed significantly to traffic on our website, www.themiddlemarket.com. In her new role, Allison will continue to cover retail and consumer goods, real estate, distressed investing, lenders and investment banks. And she will take on additional responsibilities in writing features and in producing content online. Look for Collins this fall at the 2015 ACG Los Angeles Business Conference and at the 16th Annual Midwest ACG Capital Connection in Chicago.
I’m also pleased to announce that Demitri Diakantonis has joined Mergers & Acquisitions as a senior reporter. Previously, Diakantonis covered the middle market at The Deal for seven years. Diakantonis will focus on daily news coverage of middle-market transactions. He will also focus on strategic buyers and several industry sectors, including technology, media and telecom; manufacturing; and energy. Look for Diakantonis at M&A East in Philadelphia.
We bid a fond farewell to Anthony Noto, who joined Mergers & Acquisitions in 2011 and leaves to pursue other interests, including theater and filmmaking.
