Ryman said the deal will expand its presence in Orlando’s meetings market and complement its existing JW Marriott and Gaylord Hotels portfolio.

The JV has completed its first two acquisitions: the Garden Beach Hotel in Juan-les-Pins on the French Riviera and Penha Longa Resort, a Ritz-Carlton property near Lisbon.

The hotel is located directly on the campus of the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Conn.

The sale would mark another step in the broader retreat of Chinese investors from U.S. real estate holdings amid heightened geopolitical tensions.

The acquisition is aligned with the firm's strategy of targeting creative urban neighborhoods in key European markets.
