And, this week, NiSource will announce its next move, which could be a tender offer, said a NiSource spokeswoman. “We have many options, and a hostile tender is one of them,” she said. The company may also present a higher bid to the board, she said. In any event, NiSource prefers to negotiate a friendly deal, she added.
