Trivest Partners –backed Handstands has purchased the Eagle One car care brand from Niteo Products LLC, which is owned by Highlander Partners LP.

Eagle One makes tire and other car cleaning supplies under the A2Z and Evolution brands. Its products are sold in auto retailers, such as Pep Boys (NYSE: PBY) and Advanced Auto Parts. Handstands, based in Draper Utah,  is known for its air fresheners and other automotive care products. Niteo makes car waxes and polishes under the Car Brite and Pyroil brands. Handstands CEO Chris Anderson says the purchase “broadens and diversifies Handstands’ presence in the growing automotive appearance category.”

Earlier in 2016, Trivest sold auto repair chain Take 5 Oil Change Inc. to Roark Capital-backed Driven Brands. In other auto related deals, Shipston Equity Holdings LLC purchased auto parts maker Compass Automotive Group LLC and Sentinel Capital Partners added Driven Performance Brands.

Highlander has been active making deals in other sectors. Earlier in 2016, the PE firm invested in ingredients distributor Fuerst Day Lawson Holdings Ltd.
