Dallas private equity firm Trive Capital has invested in Lark Industries Inc. in the latest transaction surrounding the construction industry.

Anaheim, California-based Lark, which does business as Residential Design Services and Commercial Design Services, provides interior design centers and installation services for residential and commercial builders.

The company provides flooring, countertops, wall tiles, window treatments, carpentry and other interior finishes.

Trive made the investment from Trive Capital Fund I, which closed with $300 million in commitmentsin 2013. 

The firm’s other investments include Coast Plating Inc. and Chrome Plus International Inc., which Trive combined to form Valence Surface Technologies.

In August, the firm added Pride Plating, Dynamic Paint Solutions and Coastline Metal Finishingto Valence. 

There have been several M&A transactions surrounding the building products and construction industry lately, including Century Communities’s purchase of Grand View Builders and Beacon Roofing Supply Inc.’s (Nasdaq: BECN) purchase of All Weather Products Ltd.
