Even after announcing its third quarter revenue showed strong year-over-year increases, small and struggling TravelNow.com Inc. has hired Legg Mason Wood Walker to oversee a review of strategic alternatives which include a sale of the company. TravelNow, in its fifth year of business, books hotel and travel arrangements. Revenue for the third quarter was $3 million, compared with revenue of about $1 million in the third quarter of 1999. For the third quarter, the company lost $484,000, hurt partly, it said, by having to pay out $163,000 in employee stock options. In the year-prior period, TravelNow lost a mere $38,000.
