Defections in the wake of last summer’s ouster of Credit Suisse First Boston co-CEO John Mack continue despite the efforts of Mack’s successor Brady Dougan to stem the bleeding. CSFB veteran dealmaker Don Meltzer recently joined the exodus. He was appointed vice chairman of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and head of the firm’s corporate finance and origination (CFO) activities in North America. Meltzer’s appointment is part of DKW’s plan to hire a number of senior bankers to advance its relationship-oriented corporate finance and origination business. Elsewhere in the investment banking world, Morgan Joseph picked up three former CapitalKey Advisors corporate finance pros, who are handling sales of companies to private equity firms and private equity sales of portfolio companies.
