Ziff Davis Inc. has purchased IGN Entertainment, a video game and entertainment company, from News Corp. (Nasdaq: NWS).

IGN’s properties include IGN.com, UGO.com, 1UP.com and AskMen.com. Ziff owns pcmag.com, Geek.com and Toolbox.com.

IGN’s content geared towards men ages 18 to 34, which should give the group’s advertisers access to a larger audience.

New York-based Ziff is a subsidiary of J2 Global Inc. (Nasdaq: JCOM), a company that provides Internet services and owns digital media properties. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
