Citigate Global Intelligence & Security (CGIS) wants to consolidate the fragmented global business intelligence industry. An Incepta Group plc company, CGIS doubled its size to 65 employees with the Aug. 7 acquisition of Reston, Va.-based <$iMarkowitz & McNaughton Inc.> (MM). CGIS paid $3 million for MM, with a future, revenue based payout of up to $10 million. CGIS conducts corporate investigations, including takeover target research and due diligence. The firm was founded by 15 consultants in January of this year.
