Taminco Corp Eastman Chemical Co 2,728.3 Eastman Chemical Co definitively agreed to acquire the entire share capital of Taminco Corp, an Allentown-based manufacturer of specialty chemical products, from Apollo Investment Fund VII LP, a unit of Apollo Global Investment LLC, for $26 in cash per share, or a total value of $2.728 bil, including the assumption of $1 billion in liabilities.
Conversant Inc Alliance Data Systems Corp 2,286.8 Alliance Data Systems Corp (Alliance) definitively agreed to acquire the entire share capital of Conversant Inc (Conversant), a Westlake Village-based provider of online advertising services, for $2.287 billion. Alliance offered a choice of 0.07037 common share and $18.62 in cash per Conversant share held, subject to a collar agreement. Based on Alliance's closing stock price of $259.21 on 10 September 2014, the last full trading day prior to the announcement, each Conversant share was valued at $35. Upon completion, Alliance and Conversant shareholders were to receive 93% and 7% in the merged entity, respectively.
