God willing, this Friday my wife and I will officially close on the sale of our home, ending five months of open houses, impromptu realtor visits, painful price reductions (we did two of them) and nonstop agita. Like most sellers, after our celebratory dinner we will ask each other why our real estate agent even deserves to get paid.
