In the wake of the M&A boom of the late 1990’s and 2000, companies are suffering from hangovers in their treasury departments, claims Ernst & Young LLP partner Bob Baldoni. Baldoni, head of the risk management and regulatory practice in E&Y’s treasury group, said his department, in a typical year, will advise from five to 15 companies on merger-related treasury issues, which historically amounted to about 20% of the division’s business.
