Activist shareholders have accumulated shares of sandwich maker Jerry’s Famous Deli, and are looking to take the company private. Mitchell Equity Investments (MEI) and Edward D. and Anna Mitchell Foundation, which filed a June 5 13D, have a combined 6.76% stake of the company’s common stock. According to the 13D, the intent is to seek privatization of Jerry’s. The filing did state, however, that there were no written or oral agreements with any other shareholders in this regard.
