Sun Capital Partners named Michael Satzberg managing director of its Sun Capital Securities Fund, a non-control hybrid hedge fund with about $1.3 billion in committted capital.
In the new role, Satzberg will develop and manage the securities fund's distressed debt and loan portfolio. The fund targets non-control investments in public and private companies, as well as distressed debt and loans.
Satzberg most recently worked for Jefferies & Co. as senior vice president. In that position, he was responsible for trading and principal debt investments in a number of industry sectors.
