Joshua Green Corp. purchased packaged soup company The Harris Soup Co. from the joint ownership team of Sun Capital Partners Inc. and Main Street Capital Holdings LLC.

Terms of the transaction remain undisclosed.

Joshua Green facilitated the deal through the food-focused subsidiary, JGC Foods LLC, which also owns Cuizina Food Co., a Woodinville, Wash.-based manufacturer and marketer of soups and sauces.

Like Cuizina, Portland, Ore.-based Harris Soup, which does business as Harry’s Fresh Foods Inc., produces sauces and soups, but also desserts and various side dishes.

Harry’s customers include grocers, restaurant chains and distributors located throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Main Street teamed with Boca Raton, Fla.-based Sun Capital to purchase Harry’s from its owner, Basic American Foods Inc. of Walnut Creek, Calif., in November 2010. Since then, Harry’s has been under the guidance of Tony Muscato, a former managing director at H.J. Heinz Co., as its chief executive. The company grew its operating infrastructure, recruited a new management and expanded its direct sales force.

Basic American took over the franchise from founder Rod Harris for an undisclosed price in 2007.
