The Street saw green when an activist investor revealed, and the company agreed, that Turner Corp. had received a takeout offer. Following the July 16 13D filing by a 23.8% shareholder group led by Peter Steiner, Turner stock jumped 21%, or $3.75, to $21.25. And since then, the stock has traded as high as $27, a new 52-week peak. At presstime, Turner, a build-ing and management construction com-pany, closed at $25.43.
