Solmart Media LLC has closed a deal for two Florida radio broadcasting stations. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The stations, WZSP-FM and WZZS-FM serve the southwest Florida market, including Sarasota, Venice Beach, Port Charlotte, Arcadia and Sebring. Solmart Media plans for the stations to broadcasting material to target the Latino population in the area. Heartland Broadcasting, an independent broadcasting station, sold the stations.

Solmart Media, headquartered in Pinecrest, Florida, is a media company founded by radio executive Tomas Martinez and journalism Mercedes Soler.

Buyers have been drawn to broadcasting stations, with recent deals including Gannet Co. Inc.'s (NYSE: GCI) acquisition of six television stationsin Texas for $215 million in May, and Media General Inc.'s purchase of LIN Media LLC for $1.6 billion. 

In October, Digity LLC agreed to buy 33 radio stations from NextMedia Group Inc.
