Although the Street is looking for a bump in Vishay Intertechnology Inc.’s $172 million squeeze-out offer for Siliconix Inc., a source close to Vishay management suggested the bidder won’t be so quick to bump. “If some institutional investors want to dump their shares, we’ll buy them,” he said. He emphasized, though, “We’ve reserved the option to just walk away. If it’s not Siliconix [we acquire in its entirety], it’ll be other companies.”
