The Running Specialty Group has acquired Run Colorado, a group of specialty shops.

Run Colorado operates a retail store in Greenwood Village, Colorado that sells sneakers, clothes and other running accessories. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Running Specialty, headquartered in Denver, is a unit of the Finish Line Inc. (Nasdaq: FINL). The company operates 66 specialty running stores, with five of them in the Colorado market after the Run Colorado acquisition. The stores operate as the Running Company, Run On, Blue Mile, Boulder Running Company, Roncker's Running Spot, Running Fit, VA Runner, Capital RunWalk, Richmond RoadRunner and Garry Gribble's Running names. 

Consumer interest in leading a healthier lifestyle has permeated the M&A market. Earlier in November, Silver Oak Services Partners invested in gym chain Vasa Fitness LLC.
