Aluminum giant Reynolds Metals Co., chatting up M&A all over the place these days, is likely involved in discussions behind the scenes. As publicly forthcoming as Chairman and CEO Jeremiah Sheehan has been, “I would think there are talks,” said Kurt Billick, a Warburg Dillon Read an-alyst. Among the most probable industry players to take out Reynolds, he said, are Pechiney SA, of France, and Zurich-based Algroup. Neither company could be reached for comment.
