Prudential plc subsidiary, Jackson National Life Insurance Co.,has promoted Jim Sopha to executive VP of the firm’s corporate development group, where he will oversee its M&A strategy. Prior to his promotion, Sopha, who continues to report to Jackson Chief Executive Officer Clark Manning, had worked in Jackson’s corporate development group. Sopha oversaw M&A during his five-year stint with Swiss Reinsurance Co., in addition business integration and new business development. Neither Sopha, who joined Lansing, Mich.-based Jackson last year, nor Manning could be reached for comment.
