Prospira PainCare Inc. has acquired the Pain Management Center, a pain treatment center.
Pain Management, headquartered in Hamilton, N.J., serves the southern New Jersey and Philadelphia metropolitan area. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The deal allows Mountain View, Calif.-based Prospira to expand into the northeastern U.S. The company, which operates pain treatment centers, recently purchased the National Pain Institute, the Bay Area Pain & Wellness Center, and the Spine Center, located in Florida, San Francisco and Georgia, respectively.
There have been many M&A transactions in the health care sector recently, including AstraZeneca plc’s agreement to buy Pearl Therapeutics Inc., Parallon’s deal to acquire Outsource Group, and Great Point Partners’ investment in IVantage Health Analytics.
