Prime Group Realty Trust has hired both Prudential Securities and Lehman Brothers to explore strategic alternatives, including a sale of part or all of the company. And at least one analyst believes that the company should have no problem seeing a sale. Merrill Ross, an equity analyst with Friedman, Billings, Ramsey, said the real value of Prime lies in its central downtown business portfolio. She noted that Prime’s other portfolios, including its operator, brokerage and suburban groups, have struggled.
