PGI (NYSE: PGI) has acquired TalkPoint Holdings LLC to expand cloud-based collaboration services.

New York-based TalkPoint provides cloud-based webcasting services that allow users to host meetings. The company's Convey platform provides self-service audio and video webcasting for events with up to 10,000 attendees. The company has annual run rate revenue of $18 million.

The deal helps PGI add to the communications services it offers. PGI, headquartered in Atlanta, makes collaborative software for businesses. In December 2013, the company bought London-based Via-Vox Ltd. for $52.6 million to expand in the U.K.

Other recent software deals include TBC Holdings' acquisition of LocalVox, a marketing software developer, also announced Sept. 23. Before that, SAP agreed to buy Concur Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: CNQR).
