Atlantic-Pacific Capital — The advisory firm named Brian Wade a partner. Wade will continue to work closely with institutional investors in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast United States, including public and corporate pension plans, endowments, foundations, financial institutions, fund-of-funds and family offices. Prior to joining Atlantic-Pacific, Wade was a managing director in Credit Suisse Asset Management’s institutional distribution group. Before Credit Suisse, he was the director of investor relations at JLL Partners, a middle-market private equity firm. Previously, Wade worked at the Virginia Retirement System, where he was the director of private equity after beginning his alternative investment career at the New York State Common Retirement Fund.

Bryan Cave LLP Sonia Kaur Bain has joined the firm’s real estate group in New York. The 20-year veteran focuses on commercial real estate, including the negotiation of leases, purchase agreements and joint venture agreements. She also handles acquisitions dispositions, financing and building conversions including residential, commercial and mixed-use properties.

The Carlyle Group — Jacques Chappuis is joining as a managing director and head of the solutions business segment. Chappuis comes to Carlyle from Morgan Stanley, where he served as president of alternative investments partners. He begins his duties at Carlyle in May and will be based in New York.

Carrick Capital Partners — Four executives have joined the firm: Steve Unterberger, Kenneth Coleman, Raul Fernandez and Tom Neff. Unterberger, who formerly held several roles at Exult Inc., a human resources business processing company, was named Carrick’s chief technology partner. Coleman, Fernandez and Neff have joined Carrick as special advisers.

Sklar Kirsh LLP — Attorneys Jeffrey Sklar and Andrew Kirsh have founded the Los Angeles-based law firm with a team that includes Shawn Haghighi, Stephen Halper, Mary Ruth Hughes, Blake Fix, Justin Gaynor and Navid Morè. Sklar began his career in 2001 as a corporate lawyer with Alschuler Grossman Stein & Kahan LLP. He spent seven years in Loeb & Loeb LLP’s Corporate Department before starting Sklar Law PC in 2010. He received his BA from Michigan State University and his JD from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. Kirsh began his career in 2000 in the Los Angeles office of Contract Land is backed by PE firm Hammond Kennedy Whitney & Co. He then joined Goodwin Procter LLP where he played an integral role in opening the firm’s Los Angeles office. Most recently, he was a partner with Beverly Hills-based Raines Feldman LLP.

UHY LLP — Amy Robson joined the accounting and audit firm in Albany, N.Y. as a senior manager, leading the technology assurance services practice. She brings approximately 12 years of experience in the finance industry, specializing in IT assessments through in-depth analyses of entire business systems, including application software, databases, operating systems, hardware and client/server networks. Prior to joining UHY, Robson served at Old Mutual Asset Management in Boston, where she was a member of the senior IT leadership team.
