Anderson Kill & Olick PC – The firm announced that Judith Joan Sullivan has joined as a shareholder in its corporate securities group and serve as chair of the international business department. She will divide her time between the firm’s New York and Newark, N.J. offices.


Brigus Gold Corp. - Richard Allan, the company’s vice president and chief operating officer, has left the company effective Dec. 31. Allan joined the Brigus team in June 2010 when the merger between Apollo Gold and Linear Gold created Halifax, Nova Scotia-based Brigus.


Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP - Brian Buroker joined the firm’s Washington office as a partner. He was previously head of Hunton & Williams LLP's intellectual property practice. Buroker covers patent, trade secret and intellectual property litigation, particularly in the computer software, electronics and telecommunications areas. He worked at Hunton & Williams since 1997.


KBW Inc. – The investment bank hired two new managing directors. James Harasimowicz and Joseph Gulash have joined Keefe Bruyette & Woods as managing directors in the depository investment banking group. Harasimowicz, who has served as co-head of the Merrill Lynch’s depository group, managing director at Salomon Smith Barney and a principal at KBW, is anticipated to become the head of the firm’s Chicago office. Most recently he founded the hedge fund Longview Partners LLC. Gulash, who is based in the San Francisco office, joins KBW from D.A. Davidson & Co. where he led merger and acquisition and capital markets transactions for banking companies.


Littlejohn & Co. LLC - The private investment announced several promotions. Michael Klein has been named chief executive, and Brian Ramsay has been promoted to president from his position as managing director. Angus Littlejohn will continue as chairman and Klein served as president since inception of the firm.


Maven Capital Partners UK LLP – The Glasgow, Scotland-based private equity firm hired Ramsay Duff as a partner. He was previously a partner at HM Corporate Solutions, a boutique corporate finance business that he ran in partnership with commercial law firm Harper Macleod LLP.


Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy LLP – The international law firm announced the election of four partners to the firm’s Singapore and New York offices effective January 1, including Jacqueline Su-Lynn Chan, Daniel Michalchuk, Atara Miller and Nicholas Smith.


Saudi Arabian Investment Co. – The sovereign wealth fund enlisted Scott Lanphere as head of direct investments. Lanphere will remain a director of Aletheia Partners LLP, which he co-founded in 2002. From 1998 to 2001 he was a director at Morgan Grenfell Private Equity Ltd. Lanphere previously spent a decade at Advent International Corp.


Summit Partners - The growth equity firm announced a slate of promotions including three managing Directors and five principals in its Boston, Palo Alto and London offices. Robin Devereux, Han Sikkens and Christian Strain were promoted to managing director, while Michael Anderson, Dave Averett, Vincent Lambert, Michael Medici and Peter Rottier were promoted to principal.

Sikkens, Strain and Lambert joined Summit in 2004, 2005 and 2006 respectively. Devereux joined Summit Partners in 2000. She will continue to serve as chief financial officer and chief compliance officer. Averett joined Summit in 2010, while Medici and Anderson joined the firm in 2005. Rottier was hired in 2006.


Victory Energy Corp. – The firm brought in Mark Biggers, who has worked at Alvarez & Marsal since 2005, will join as chief financial officer on Jan. 10. Biggers was a senior director in A&M's energy practice.


West Coast Bancorp - David Dietzler became a member of the firm's board on Jan. 1. Dietzler worked at KPMG LLP in Portland and retired as managing partner in 2005 after 37 years at the firm. He is currently a member of the Portland General Electric Co. board, where he chairs the audit committee.
