The $33 billion Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System (SERS) has increased its private equity portfolio with the addition of three new investments, according to the plan’s Web site. At a July 18 meeting, the board agreed to commit up to $30 million in Advent’s Latin American Private Equity Fund IV, up to $15 million in PNC Equity Partners II and up to $10 million in Alpha Fund 5-a follow-on commitment to the fund, in which SERS already had approved a $60 million commitment. All three investments will be funded from cash.
