Northstar Travel Media has acquired Your Travel Insider, a digital publishing company focused on the consumer travel market.

Your Traveler creates e-newsletters geared towards travelers, including Your Travel Insider, Luxury Cruise News and Your Travels Insider – Travel Tools. The company’s newsletters reach about 1 million people. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Secaucus, N.J.-based Northstar Travel is a business-to-business publication for the travel and meetings industries. The company’s brands include Travel Weekly, TravelAge, Meetings & Conventions, Successful Meetings, Meeting News, Business Travel News, Travel Procurement and PhoCusWright. Northstar also runs database-driven electronic publications Hotel & Travel Index, Official Cruise Guide and M&C Facilities Search, plus online subscription services The Beat, Travel 42, Weissmann Reports, Intelliguide Corporate, BTP24 and Star Service Online. The company also produces events.

Your Travel will become the first business in Northstar’s new consumer travel group. Your Travel will report to Roy Weiss, its founder and president, who is now a group publisher at Northstar.
