Noble Biomaterials Inc. has acquired Carolina Silver LLC, which manufactures silver-based fabric, yarn and fiber.
Maiden, N.C.-based Silver’s products are used for anti-bacterial and conductive technology products.
X-Static, Noble’s line of silver products, protects from bacteria, fungi and odor, and naturally inhibits the growth of bacteria in apparel and textiles, which can prevent the spread of infection and heal wounds. The technology can also keep athletic gear smelling fresher. Noble plans to grow the X-Static brand and reach more customers through the deal.
Noble, headquartered in Scranton, sells its products to the medical, defense, industrial and consumer markets.
